this is it!
If you're anything like me, you like to wait until the very last minute to make big life decisions! Well, this is it. Your 24 hour notice/warning.
This is my final email about The Mentor Training.
I will now resume a more casual and intuitive writing schedule.
I want you to feel as excited and inspired about it as I do. I also want you to feel confident in your decision to join us by 8 pm GMT tomorrow (24 hours from now).
To those of you who have already enrolled:
Hello! ๐๐ฝ
I see you, and I'm deeply grateful for your trust in me to guide you on this journey. Thank you for your time, financial and energy investment. I recognise it's a significant and beautiful commitment, and I'm eagerly looking forward to starting. You'll hear from me early next week!
For those still considering, I'd like to share some of the most powerful, engaging, and compelling stories I've shared over the past few weeks.
These might help you make your decision if you missed them because youโre not on The Mentor Training mailing list.
Before I proceed, I want to answer a question many of you have asked me:
Why is this the last time I'm running The Mentor Training live?
The reason is twofold.
Running the training on my own with a small support team is a significant time and energy commitment โ one that I truly adore. Nothing brings me more pleasure than supporting new mentees in finding their true calling and path. The live calls give me so much energy and excitement for the future we are creating together.
However, I also want to make space for other aspects of my personal and professional life. While this training has been incredibly rewarding, it's time for me to explore new opportunities and focus on other goals.
That said, I would love to continue offering the training if I can find the right partner. I'm looking for someone who can match my experience, value, and commitment to The Mentor Training, and who would be interested in partnering with me to keep this valuable program going. (If that's you, please do get in touch!)
Your journey is your greatest asset.
The ONE thing you need to be an impactful and effective mentor, teacher, coach or healer.
When Angela began her mentoring practice, self-doubt crept in.
โI am so in her head about itโ, she told me.
"Who am I to give people support and advice? What if I mess it up? What if something I do or say makes them feel even worse?!"
She had so much fear of not being good at the one thing she wanted to do, she almost didnโt do it.
โYour life story is filled with challenges, triumphs, and growth. Each experience has shaped your understanding of the human condition, providing you with insights that no textbook can offer. Your life journey is precisely what makes you so good at this work!โ I told her.
Angelaโs life has been quite a journey.
Born in Namibia, Africa to Swiss parents she grew up with constant fear of her fatherโs drunken, violent outbursts.
One day, when she was 13, as her father hurled chairs at their mother in the kitchen that splintered against the walls that they hit, and threw punches until her face was black and blue, she hid with her little brother behind a locked door.
Then, they heard a gunshot. Followed by shouting and crying and a loud thump as someone hit the floor.
15 ways to get clients as a mentor
No, you don't have to use social media if you don't want to.
here's the thing โ at the end of the day, we all want to build something real. Something that's true to who we are, has substance to it, and doesn't make us feel like we need a shower after promoting it.
It's not always the quickest route but is it worth it when you see those genuine connections form and your business starts to really mean something to people.
When it comes to marketing, using social media is certainly one option. But itโs not the only option. There are plenty of other things you can try.
Maybe you donโt want to use social media, because:
โ You find it exhausting, draining, or distracting.
โ Youโre concerned about privacy or ethical factors.
โ Itโs just not your favourite place to hang out and spend your precious time.
โ Or youโve noticed that social media marketing doesnโt seem very effective for your particular personality, type of business, or clientele.
And so, you want to find some marketing approaches that donโt require social media.
Your wish is granted!
Hereโs a list of 15 marketing ideas that donโt involve social media.
My client obsessed with toilet paper
A story about a private client; on clients' presenting problems; using your insight (intuition); who our clients are; fear of not standing out or being unique enough to succeed; and more...
I once had a client who was obsessed with buying toilet paper.
Her biggest fear every single day was that she might run out of toilet paper.
So every day, on her way home, she would buy (another) pack of toilet paper.
She lived in London. A city filled with convenience stores, corner shops and grocers that stayed open all night. She did not need to hoard toilet paper.
It was not about the toilet paper. The toilet paper is what we, in The Mentor Training, call the presenting problem. There was something else going on.
I suggested that she set herself a challenge. To not buy any more toilet paper, until she was down to the last roll. This would take months, maybe even a year anyway, so the experiment was relatively risk-free. She agreed.
On our next call, I asked her.
โHow does not buying toilet paper every day make you feel?โ
โIt makes me feel unsafeโ she replied.
Your tools can be replicated...
Whether it's Reiki, coaching, mentoring, yoga teaching, or breathworkโ right now, thousands of practitioners are using these same techniques.
When we focus solely on these tools, we fall into a dangerous trap. We start comparing ourselves to other practitioners, feeling a subtle sense of threat or competition. This mindset not only stunts our growth but also prevents us from forming deep connections with our work and potential clients.
Here's what cannot be replicated: the unique way YOU relate to these tools. Your personal experiences, your intuition, your voice. These are what make your practice truly one-of-a-kind.
It's not about the tools themselves, but how you give them shape and voice in your work.
There IS more to this world
Why we need each other now more than ever and how the TMT accreditation and assessment process helps you become a confident and responsible mentor.
For some of us, we have always felt it.
For others, it quietly creeps into their perfectly happy, successful life. This feeling that this isn't it. That there's more to life and the world.
That's what happened to my friend Jeffrey.
He was a very successful mathematician and software engineer for almost 15 years. But on the side, he was always very intrigued by energy work, intuition, and healing. He started studying it to quench his thirst for understanding.
We live in duality.
There is more to this world.
There's the physical world that we can see, touch, and taste. In this world, we tend to get stuck in the same patterns, over and over, because we are working with a very limited perspective of what is possible.
There's the energy world which we can sense, feel, and tune into. In this world, we literally become opened up to the potential of limitless possibilities. Things that don't yet exist in the physical world.
Jeffrey discovered that when people feel stuck, frustrated, or helpless and wanting to break free of unhealthy or unhappy cycles, working with energy was the fastest and most powerful tool he found to help make big changes.
So he quit his career and started working with people, teaching them how to use their intuition, inner sense, and energy work.
He found his true path in life and felt fulfilled.
We exist in a particularly delicate precipice of change and transformation. If you're here, reading this, you will have felt it.
For months now, we have been existing in this in-between phase. Where the landscape of life on earth is redefining itself. The old world has gone, and we are waiting for the new one to appear.
We need each other to lean on in this time.
What the world needs more of is people who are willing and able to facilitate our self-healing, our return to wholeness, our inner calm and safety during a turbulent time of change and transformation.
We need these contributions to come from a grounded, safe, and responsible place.
your 3 BIG questions answered
Why this is the last time I am running The Mentor Training live; when the live call times are (I want to be there live โ what if I can't make it?!!!); and who this training is for.
Enjoy!
